This data is being collected to facilitate a discussion of the music industry with state and federal officials having jurisdiction in Texas. It is also useful for new artists unfamiliar with the local scene, and for negotiating pay with new venues. We do *not* recommend using this data to coerce a raise out of your current venue (unless you don't want to play there any more). We *do* recommend using this data to make sure you are not paid *less* than identically-sized bands at that venue.
